I think the 84th St corridor is the gateway to Papillion. It has so much potential. With the growth Papillion has experienced in the past several years, our community is looking for local places to shop and dine. I truly feel we could have our own Old Market South area, with a few unique restaurants, wine bar, small retails shops, etc. So many residents of Papillion travel to midtown Omaha and the Old Market area, due to the lack of urban development here in our own town. They would love to support local businesses, if they had the opportunity. Think of what Dundee area has to offer. It would bring people into our town on a regular basis, not to mention before and after ballgames. Since we're rated the #5th city to live in, I feel our town's image should reflect it's pride. I feel now is the time to really focus on this area. It will only be a matter of time before surrounding towns will develope areas to draw visitors in. I don't want to see Papillion miss out on a great opportunity.
