With all the new business coming into the south area of town (off 370 especially), I don't want the north end of town to suffer. The strip mall by 24 Hour Fitness and La Mesa is starting to look in disregard. With a few of the businesses moving out and leaving store fronts empty, there is room for new businesses to come in. There are also the big billboards that look old and need updating. I'm sure this is probably private property but can the city do anything to speed up the process of new businesses moving in and encourage the ones that are present to make sure the exterior of their business & signage looks well maintained?
